All sorts of fun at WWAY’s Family and Kids Expo

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Games, activities and more were featured at WWAY’s Family and Kids Expo.

On Saturday, WWAY hosted its Family and Kids Expo at Independence Mall.

The event allowed children to play games, eat cotton candy, meet princess characters, see the Easter Bunny and participate in a variety of activities.

Parents could also stop by to learn about local businesses and organizations that serve families, offering information on child care and educational opportunities.

Eight-year-old Lily Lehman said she had a lot of fun.

“I liked the summer camp table that they had,” Lehman said. “At one station, I think I was the first one there. They tried to hide a golden egg, and I found it.”

Attendees also had a chance to meet and spend time with WWAY’s Jason Korver and Lee Haywood.
