CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The National Commander of the American Legion will visit Pleasure Island American Legion Post 129 on January 2nd.

Dan K. Wiley was elected national commander of the American Legion in August during the 106th National Convention.

Wiley is an Air Force veteran and a retired state district court judge. After service, Wiley obtained a bachelor’s degree in business at the College of Great Falls in Montana and earned a law degree at the University of Kansas.

“Our American Legion Post 129 family is honored to host Commander Wiley at our Post and to have him meet with our members. As a team of Veterans, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary, we work proudly to serve Veterans, support the American Legion Four Pillars of Service, and serve our community,” said Post 129 Commander, Pete Green.
