American Legion Post 68 seeking community support for ‘Wreaths Across America’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — American Legion Post 68 in Leland is working to make sure each veteran’s grave at Wilmington’s National Cemetery is honored and receives a wreath placement in December. 

The Wreaths Across America Mission is to remember, honor and teach. 

It’s $17 for each wreath. The deadline for all donations or purchases of live wreaths is December 1st.

To purchase a wreath, make checks payable to Wreaths Across America and mail it to American Legion Post 68, PO Boc 521, Leland, NC 28451. Wreaths can also be purchased online.

Wreaths are scheduled to be placed at Wilmington National Cemetery on Saturday, December 13th. 

The public is invited to attend and participate in the wreath placement ceremony. The cemetery is located at 2011 Market Street in Wilmington.
