Annual American Craft Fair held in Downtown Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Downtown Wilmington was bustling with activity as the annual American Craft Fair took place.
Princess Street and Front Street were closed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accommodate the event.
The fair showcased over 125 artists from across North Carolina, offering a wide variety of handcrafted art.
The event was open to all ages and free to attend, providing an opportunity for visitors to explore and purchase unique art pieces while interacting with the artists.
James Christopher, owner of Cool Wilmington, helped organize the fair and expressed his appreciation for the strong community turnout.
“We really like bringing together such a talented, diverse group of artisans and artists and then watching the community interact. Wilmington has always been amazing for supporting local small businesses and artisans, and we can’t thank you enough for coming out! Every time we have the American Craft Walk, you come out in droves, and we really appreciate it,” Christopher said.
Local artist Ronald Williams contributed a special painting for the event.
His artwork is featured on posters displayed throughout downtown Wilmington, so keep an eye out as you explore the city.
