Arrest made in Carolina BBQ robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said a man is in custody following a restaurant robbery.

The robbery happened last night around 7:30 p.m. at the Carolina BBQ on N. College Road. Deputies said Jamie Michael Davis, 28, approached the cashier with a handgun and demanded money.

Deputies arrested Davis at a mobile home on Peachtree Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. They said the arrest happened due to the help from the community.
