Arrest made in connection to recent overdoses
WILMINGTON, NC — Wilmington Police say a man is facing charges in connection with recent drug overdoses in the county.
Police say Vidal Leonard Becton, 42, was arrested late last night in the Houston Moore housing complex. He’s facing charges including possession with intent to sell and distribute heroin. He’s in jail under a $50,000 bond.
Investigators say Becton is believed to have sold one of the brands of heroin connected to overdoses in the area. During the execution of a search warrant, police say they found a military ballistic vest and drugs. A teenager living in the home was also detained in released, police said.
