Man arrested, 3 others wanted in Dublin murder
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Christopher Joseph Baldwin was arrested Wednesday night and charged with first degree murder for the death of Darrell Dionte Council on November 8.
“I am pleased to announce this arrest,” said Sheriff James McVicker. “My investigators have put in some long hours trying to locate those responsible for this crime. We still have more work to do on this case and anticipate additional charges.”
McVicker said that another individual, Montise Arman Mitchell was initially charged with the murder and investigators are still searching for him. Mitchell is wanted for first degree murder.
“We have been able to determine there were at least four individuals involved in this case,” Sheriff McVicker said. “We have warrants on these folks and we have one in custody and anticipate more arrests today.”
In addition to Mitchell and Baldwin, Sheriff McVicker said his Investigators have obtained warrants on D’Nazya Sade Downing and Shanika Nicole Mitchell. Both women are also charged with first degree murder.
Baldwin is currently in Bladen County Jail under no bond pending a first appearance in Bladen County District Court.
