WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say a woman wanted for a fatal hit and run has been arrested in a different part of the country.

Ann Olivia Monseur, age 34, of Wilmington was arrested by the Kingston Pennsylvania Police Department on the evening of November 26. The arrest was made based on warrants obtained by Wilmington Police.

On November 5th, Wilmington Police claim Monseur was driving her Jeep Wrangler when she struck and killed Walter Hinds while he was riding his bicycle in the 4200 block of Independence Boulevard.

As traffic unit investigators with the Wilmington Police Department obtained arrest warrants for felony hit and run, police claim Monseur fled the area, traveling to Pennsylvania.

Monseur is expected to be extradited back to Wilmington in the near future.
