Arrests made in Oak Island burglary cases
OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Oak Island Police have made arrests and issued warrants in several burglary and breaking and entering cases.
According to officials, arrests were made on Tuesday in cases stemming back to November 2015. Officials say the cases covered a wide area and included vehicles along with homes.
Officials say they arrested 17-year-old Ryan Alexander Culler, 19-year-old Jimmy Erwin Foster, 30-year-old Cory Lee Eby, and 34-year-old Joseph Ryan Crone. A warrant is pending for 28-year-old Nicholas Donald Carter, who is currently in the NC Department of Corrections on other charges.
According to a release, Culler and Foster each face charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Eby is being charged with first degree burglary, breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering. Each was given a $50,000 secure bond. Crone and Carter each face a first degree burglary charge.
In addition to these charges, officials say two others were charged in unrelated larcenies that involved breaking and entering into vehicles.
According to police, 22-year-old Robert Jacob Davis and 24-year-old Jillian Victoria Maria Bishop were each charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny after breaking or entering a motor vehicle.
