Art show focuses on works of Tabor City woman who died recently, fulfilling a life-long wish
TABOR CITY (WWAY) — An art show in Columbus County finished up Tuesday evening, honoring the life of a Tabor City woman.
Susan Sapinsley worked as a graphic artist and journalist throughout her life.
She died last week, but had one life-long wish, and it came true at Grapeful Sisters Vineyard.
In her final days with Lower Cape Fear Life Care, she shared she would like the opportunity to have an art show of her own.
Despite her death, her daughter Dianna Fowler said she still wanted to make her mom’s dream come true.
“I was hoping she could make it,” she continued. “But it didn’t happen that way. But I’m glad and so thankful for Life Care for what they’ve done to organize this.”
Fowler explained that the art show featured only a piece of her mother’s collection, adding that Susan was a creator her whole life.
