Ashley High student appears in court on cocaine, booze charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A 16-year-old Ashley High School student accused of having drugs on campus had her first appearance in court Wednesday.

Mikayla Ann Wright faces several charges after allegedly having cocaine and alcohol with her at school.

A judge released Wright to live with her grandmother in Fayetteville until her next court appearance.
