Ashley running back suspended after latest arrest

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Ashley High School’s football team won’t have its starting running back when the Screaming Eagles travel to South Brunswick Friday night.

Coach Mike Propst says senior Justin Foy is suspended indefinitely.

New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Foy Friday for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor.

The 18-year-old was charged earlier this year with larceny and resisting an officer, according to court records, which also show outstanding charges from 2013 for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen goods.
