At least 20 dead in Pakistan university attack
CHARSADDA, Pakistan (AP) — A Pakistani official says an Army operation to end an attack at a northwestern university is over. Twenty people are dead.
The Pakistani Taliban are claiming responsibility for today’s assault on Bacha Khan University as classes began for the day.
Taliban leader, Khalifa Umar Mansoor, claimed responsibility in a phone call to The Associated Press from an undisclosed location.
Mansoor was the mastermind mind of the December 2014 attack on an army-run school in Peshawar that killed more than 150 people, 144 of them children.
