Attention Deadheads! Port City Jerry Day is Friday


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Fans of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, anyone who  wants to have a good time, and lovers of great music will come together Friday for the first ever Port City Jerry Day for the United Way.

The City of Wilmington and Edward Teach Brewing are joining forces to raise money for the United Way of the Cape Fear.  It will be a night of Grateful Dead music at the Brooklyn Arts Center featuring the Grateful Dead cover bands Wavy Train and The Possums.

The cover is $10 and 100% of that goes to the United Way.

There will be vendors at the event selling locally produced merchandise and a cash bar including your favorite beers from Edward Teach Brewing.

The fun kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday at the Brooklyn Arts Center in Wilmington.
