Autopsy on Prince scheduled for today
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — An autopsy is scheduled today for Prince after he was found dead at his studio compound in suburban Minneapolis.
Officials haven’t released a cause of death, but earlier this month, Prince postponed an Atlanta concert, saying he had fallen ill with the flu.
Authorities say deputies who responded to a medical emergency Thursday found Prince in an elevator, unresponsive. They say CPR failed.
Prince’s death at age 57 sparked an outpouring of grief from fans, with hundreds gathering outside his studio and in downtown Minneapolis and many more posting remembrances on social networks. Buildings around the country were lit up Thursday night in his signature purple.
