Avelo Airlines launches two new routes from Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Avelo Airlines launched their nonstop service to Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Connecticut from Wilmington International Airport (ILM) on Thursday.
Avelo operates both routes twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Avelo is the first airline offering nonstop service between ILM and these two destinations. One-way fares start at $46.
Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said, “Since the start of service at ILM just over two years ago, Avelo has continued to introduce travelers in the Wilmington area to a new era of affordability, convenience and industry-leading reliability. We’re excited to grow at ILM and provide two new nonstop destinations to Fort Myers and Hartford. It is also clear the fast and easy travel-friendly experience ILM offers has played an equally significant role in inspiring over 125,000 people to fly with us.”
ILM Airport Director Jeff Bourk said, ““We’re excited to see Avelo grow with these two new nonstop flights at ILM. With the addition of Fort Meyers and Hartford, travelers can now choose among eight nonstops on Avelo, all with everyday low fares.”
