Bah Humbug! Thieves steal lights from Wilmington business
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – With Christmas nearly here, many of you have your decorations up and are getting into the holiday spirit.
But one Wilmington store says they had a few unwelcome guests who stole their lights.
Jim Mincher, Two Wheeler Dealer owner, says when he went to turn off the Christmas lights Thursday morning he realized something was missing. The lights from the front porch had been stolen.
He posted photos from their surveillance cameras after he says these guys stole the decorations hanging from their building.
Two Wheeler Dealer has been in business for more than 40 years now and put up Christmas lights every year so they were a little surprised to see this happen, but say they’ve had a pretty good laugh about it.
“They didn’t take the tinsel, the tinsel is still out there…haha,” Mincher said.
He decided not to file a police report, but says the thieves will one day get their punishment.
“If I saw them, I’d just say give us the lights back,” Mincher said. “You know Karma is going to get ya!”
While the rest of the decorations were untouched, he says it won’t dampen their Christmas spirit.
“We got plenty of Christmas cheer around here,” Mincher said.
He said he received an anonymous donation of a box of Christmas lights this afternoon and is in the process of putting them back up.
