Beach parking in Oak Island might soon cost money
OAK ISLAND, NC (StarNewsOnline.com) — Oak Island Town Manager Steve Foster knew it was a hot-button issue when he proposed the town look into charging for parking.
There is a perception it would steer visitors away from the island or impact residents negatively.
Plus, there are many questions about how it would work and be enforced.
