Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival makes annual return to Port City
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– A festival returned to Live Oak Pavilion on Saturday, celebrating three things many north Carolinians love.
The 2024 Beer, Bourbon, and Barbeque Festival boasted hundreds of people looking to pig out on barbeque and taste test some new beers and aged bourbon. Each year, the festival travels across the country, making stops at southern cities along the way.
One of the headlining barbeque trucks was Fat Boys Bar-B-Q.
Owner and Pit Master Miles Tew Jr. says that he is proud to bring his barbeque to the Port City.
“Wilmington is one my favorite places to go,” said Miles Tew Jr. “We’re right out of Johnston County so it’s a short drive for us and to be down here and supporting this great event, it’s awesome.”
Tickets for the festival sold out pretty fast, so if you missed the festival this year, don’t worry. It was not the first, or the last time, the festival will be in Wilmington.
