Behind the Badge: A Wilmington Police Officer’s approach to policing

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new season of Cop 24/7 on The CW features Wilmington Police Officer Biss Kistler, an officer who’s excited to show the human side of law enforcement.

Kistler, who grew up in Wilmington, is passionate about helping others and wants viewers to see the dedication and hard work that goes into each shift.

Kistler shared that while filming the show provides an in-depth look at her daily life, it’s just a snapshot of what officers face. She also enjoys knowing her children will see the impact she’s making.

“It’s good for them to see what I’m doing and the difference I’m making. I can tell them all day long, ‘Oh, I did this, I did that,’ but they don’t really get it because they don’t see it.”
