Bellamy Mansion to host free Nights of Lights holiday open house

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bellamy Mansion is inviting the public to celebrate the season during its annual Nights of Lights Holiday Open House.
The free, come-and-go event will allow visitors to explore three levels of the museum’s main house as well as the first level of the original slave quarters building. No reservations or tickets are required, though a $5 per person suggested donation is encouraged.
Museum officials say the holiday décor will offer a contrast in styles, with historically accurate decorations featured in the slave quarters building and more whimsically modern décor displayed throughout the main house.
Holiday treats and hot chocolate will be available for purchase in the museum’s carriage house visitors’ center. Cash is preferred, though credit cards will be accepted for purchases totaling $5 or more.
The Nights of Lights run from Dec. 18 -20th, from 5:00-8:00pm.
The event will take place rain or shine, and the queue will be outdoors. Visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather.
The Bellamy Mansion Museum is located at 503 Market Street in downtown Wilmington.
