Belville Elementary hosting 3rd Annual Festival of Trees

BELVILLE, NC (WWAY)– Belville Elementary School is hosted its 3rd Annual Festival of Trees tonight.

The Festival of Trees is a fundraiser for the school, where Christmas trees are donated and decorated in different themes by local businesses, organizations, and parents, then auctioned off to the highest bidder.

There are 53 trees this year lined down the hallway of the school, which is the most they have ever had.

“I’m really excited to see the funds that we can raise tonight and see what we can do for our building and our students. We always ask the staff what they are looking for what type of things they would like to see,” said Allison Dixon, Belville Elementary School’s Principle.

“We’ve also purchased some additions to our curriculum to help with the curriculum, so that really goes a long way,” said Traci Hayes, Administrative Assistant.

The event goes until 7 Friday night at at the school.

Organizers say the auction will be a fun and festive evening of sharing fellowship, crafts, food, and even Santa Claus.
