Belville Riverwalk Park celebrates with ‘Monster Mash’ event

BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Belville Riverwalk Park transformed into a festive hub for the “Monster Mash” event.

The afternoon was filled with costumes, candy, and contests, bringing together families and friends for a day of fun.

Attendees enjoyed the unique experience of “trunk or treating,” where different organizations, including our team at WWAY, handed out candy from their creatively decorated cars.

Many participants, like Brandi Hinshaw, were excited about the opportunity to engage with the community. “I mean, it’s always fun to dress up. We’re all kids at heart; you don’t have to grow up if you don’t want to. But it’s nice to get out and give back to the community,” she shared.

One of the highlights of the event was the costume contest, which was divided by age groups.

WWAY’S Keelin Berrian had the pleasure of emceeing and helping judge the competition, which was an absolute blast. However, the level of talent on display made it clear that there was some tough competition among the participants.
