Big changes on the way for Fix a Friend Neuter Clinic
WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — Fix a Friend Spay Neuter Clinic flooded during Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight, we have an update on their recovery progress.
Operations have changed, including check-in which has moved to a tent.
They have one mobile unit, and they are hopeful to get another.
They are also now limited on the size of the dog they can operate on.
The maximum size is now 65 to 70 pounds, where before it was up to about 120 pounds.
Assistant manager at Fix a Friend Spay Neuter clinic, Rebecca Leonard says there are a lot of big plans in the future starting with the building being raised within the next week.
“Then, hopefully, once we get this building up and we get back in here. We are able to kind of increase our numbers; we are going to make a few changes to this building so that we can actually increase the amount of surgeries we can do in a day. Then once we kind of get that rolling, we are hopeful to build on the land right next to us,” Leonard said.
Leonard adds she is thankful for the community’s love and support throughout the process.
