Black bear spotted in New Hanover Co. neighborhood

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A black bear has been spotted in a New Hanover County neighborhood.

The Sheriff’s Office says residents saw the bear in a neighborhood off Middle Sound Loop Road last night.

Animal Control was called to help, and officers were able to coax the bear back into the woods.
