Bladen Co. deputies ask for help finding murder suspect

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a murder suspect.

Deputies have a first-degree murder warrant for Montise Arman Mitchell, 24, of 27 Charlie McMillan Circle in St. Pauls.

Mitchell is wanted for the murder of Darrell Dionte Council, 23, of Tar Heel. Mitchell was killed at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Center Road and Twisted Hickory Road near Dublin.

Investigators say Mitchell is a black male, 6′, 180 lbs. He has a medium complexion and wears his hair in dreadlocks. He is known to have ties to Bladen, Robeson and Cumberland counties.

The sheriff warns the public not to approach Mitchell. He is considered armed and dangerous.
