Bladen County check point results in dozens of citations, one wanted fugitive arrested

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office recently conducted a special operation to keep their community safer.
On August 31st, the Community Impact Team teamed up with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office and multiple other organizations to conduct operations in the Clarkton and Tar Heel areas.
Officials say the collaboration was a response to community complaints and they operation was done without compromising response calls for service to their citizens.
As a result of the check point, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says dozens of citations for Driving While License Revokes, Expired Registration, Narcotics, etc., were issued.
In addition, eight criminal charges were given out, including the arrest of a wanted fugitive.
