Bladen County man arrested on several sexual exploitation of a minor charges
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Garland man has been arrested on several sexual offense charges.
Angel Bautista Leon, 34, has been charged with two counts of Felony Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor as well as two counts of Felony Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
The investigation began when the State Bureau of Investigation through National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) became aware of potential child pornography. Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division says they received a Cyber Tip from Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).
Through the course of the investigation a search warrant was issued for the resident of Angel Leon, at which time Bladen County Sheriff’s Office personnel say they located several electronic devices belonging to Angel Leon.
Angel Bautista Leon was held at the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
