Bladen County may close some schools
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Bladen County might soon have fewer schools.
The Bladen County Schools spokesperson, Valerie Newton, confirms that Superintendent Robert Taylor will propose closing one middle and two primary schools during the board of education’s monthly meeting Monday.
The schools that would be possibly affected are:
Clarkton School of Discovery
Booker T. Washington Primary
Plain View Primary
Valerie Newton said the board has the final say on any consolidation plan. If it goes through, students would attend the school in their home area.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. on Monday at the board of education administrative building.
