Bladen County reminds residents of statewide burn ban

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Bladen County Emergency Management is reminding residents that the area remains under a statewide burn ban due to an increased risk of wildfire.

The ban prohibits all open burning, including burn piles, debris burning, campfires, and yard waste fires. Officials say the restriction is necessary to help prevent fires from spreading during current high-risk conditions.

Residents are urged to follow the directive, as violations may result in fines or other legal consequences.
