Bladen County’s Rosindale Road Fire now 762 acres, half contained

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Rosindale Road Fire burning in Bladen County has grown to 762 acres and is now 50% contained, according to the N.C. Forest Service.
The agency said crews used a single-engine air tanker, a helicopter and five bulldozers Wednesday evening and overnight to build fire lines around the perimeter to stop the fire’s forward spread.
On Thursday, Forest Service personnel planned to continue improving fire lines and begin mop-up operations. An infrared drone flight is also expected to help identify remaining hot spots within the fire area.
Officials said no homes or other structures have been threatened, damaged or destroyed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
