Bladenboro man arrested on child sex charges
BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for alleged child sex crimes.
According to the sheriff’s office, on October 21st, they received a report from a parent who had recently found suspicious information on their child’s phone about an ongoing relationship with an adult.
After a forensic interview conducted by a local child advocacy center, the sheriff’s office arrested Corey Oobert Hechler, 28.
He’s charged with Felony Statutory Rape of a Child and additional charges are expected.
He was given a $250,000 secured bond.
