Bladenboro man arrested on multiple drug charges

BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) — A months-long narcotics investigation in Bladen County led to the arrest of a Bladenboro man on multiple drug charges, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said investigators began looking into reports of narcotics being sold in the Bladenboro area several months ago. The investigation identified Charles Matthew Outlaw, 43, of Bladenboro as a suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant and executed it on Friday in the 100 block of Lewis Street. During the search, deputies said they seized illicit narcotics.

Outlaw is charged with:

Felony maintaining a dwelling for the keeping and selling of controlled substances

Simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance

Felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance

Possession of drug paraphernalia

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Outlaw received no bond because he was out on pretrial release for other pending charges. He is also currently on felony probation in Bladen County and will face additional charges for probation violations.
