Bluethenthal Wildflower Preserve is now officially a certified wildlife habitat

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bluethenthal Wildflower Preserve, a 10-acre forest at the center of campus, is now certified as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the North Carolina Wildlife Federation and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF).
Some of the requirements for the certification include multiple food sources, water sources, protection/cover, quality habitat, areas to raise young, sustainability of the natural area, avoiding pesticides, and eliminating invasives.
