BMW drives onto unfinished section of bridge over Cape Fear River
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The driver of a BMW recently drove onto a section of the US 701 bridge still under construction near Elizabethtown.
Officials say they don’t know why the driver drove onto the bridge or how it happened.
The work zone has signs and barrels guiding drivers through the area to keep them on the completed section.
An inspector discovered the abandoned car, also noting there were a few misplaced barrels.
The vehicle has been towed away.
