Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue helping with the Black Cove fire

NORTH CAROLINA (WWAY) — Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue crews are helping to put out fires in Western North Carolina.
According to the NC Forest Service, the Black Cove Fire is 3052 acres in size, and it is 17% contained. The fire was caused by a downed power line.
Crews from Boiling Spring Lakes have been helping around the clock, providing structure protection, building fire lines in rough terrain, and assisting with monitoring the fires behaviors.
