Bolivia Man arrested on multiple drug charges

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — A Bolivia man has been charged with multiple drug-related offenses.
James Elliott Broome, 31, of Jake Drive, was arrested Thursday on multiple counts, including two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, two counts trafficking opium or heroin, two counts each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or distribute (PWIMSD) Schedule I, II, and IV controlled substances, two counts of conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine and opium/heroin, two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Agents seized 216.1 grams of meth, 7.8 grams of fentanyl, 4.5 grams of mushrooms, 17 Xanax pills, 2 pistols, and $168 this morning during a search warrant of the residence on Jake Drive in Bolivia.
Broome was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
