‘Bourbon, Bluegrass, & Brews Festival’ draws big crowd to Wilmington brewery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Saturday afternoon hundreds enjoyed barbecue. cold drinks, and live music at a brewery in Wilmington.

Hundreds showed up to Waterline Brewing Company for their first annual Bourbon, Bluegrass & Brews Festival.

Three distilleries, Momentum, Cape Fear Distillery, and End of Days Distillery had tastings.

Folkstone String band and Massive Grass played bluegrass music.

Feelin’ Swine BBQ and KT’s BBQ were onsite serving food.

Waterline also had their beer and drinks available.

Co-owner of Waterline, Eve Robinson, says the turnout was greater than she expected.

“Our turn out is phenomenal we are so happy to have all this support from the local community. Especially because art walk is going on at the same time. But I’ve heard a lot of people say they went to art walk first then they’re coming to the bourbon festival,” Robinson said.

Robinson added she hopes to plan another Bourbon, Bluegrass & Brews Festival. Waterline Brewing Company’s next big event will be their annual Oktober Fest Under the Bridge the first weekend of October.
