Boys & Girls Club gets free mini makeover

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Boys & Girls Club of Wilmington got a free paint job today, courtesy of Sherwin-Williams.

All across the country, the company donated their time and paint to help organizations in need to celebrate National Painting Week. Volunteers came out and helped paint the entire inside of the facility for free.

Tina Fobes with the Boys & Girls Club said they have needed this paint job for a long time and the staff couldn’t be more grateful.

“Volunteers are essential to Community Boys & Girls Club and without people like these, we wouldn’t be able to do half the things that we are able to do here in the community for the youth,” Fobes said.

With the large amount of volunteers, the painting process took only three hours.
