Bradley’s hat trick leads #2 Ashley to 4-1 win over #1 Hoggard

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – It was a big night for Ashley girls soccer as the Eagles picked up a 4-1 home win over Hoggard on Tuesday.
Coming into the game, Ashley was ranked 2nd while the Vikings were ranked 1st in Class 4A East.
Hoggard scored the first goal of the game 13 minutes in. Jordan Devoid booted a corner kick right onto Andy Dabbs’ head, which ended up in the back of the net.
Ten minutes later, the Vikings committed a turnover on defense. That gave Kieran Bradley an easy goal to tie the game.
Soon after, Bradley scored again after settling down a ball that dropped down from high in the sky. She then added a third tally immediately off a throw in to complete a natural hat trick.
This is the fourth time Bradley scored three goals in a game for Ashley and her second against Hoggard. This game was also a rematch of last year’s state semifinal that the Eagles also won.
The two teams will play again at Hoggard on April 25.
