Breaking and entering suspects face additional charges
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have filed additional charges against two men who allegedly broke into more than 70 cars in Wilmington.
According to WPD spokeswoman Linda Rawley, Carl Bryan Witherspoon, 24, now faces 63 counts of breaking and entering motor vehicle, 34 counts of larceny, 4 counts of larceny of firearm, 4 counts of firearm by felon, and 4 counts of larceny of motor vehicle.
Jeffery Wayne Graham, 32, faces 26 counts of breaking and entering motor vehicle, 9 counts of larceny, and one count of larceny of firearm.
The men were arrested around 1 a.m. Thursday after a traffic stop and foot chase in the 4200 block of Holly Tree Rd. They were initially charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony narcotics charges.
Both men are currently being held in the New Hanover County Detention Center on $110,000 bonds.
Investigators are continuing to follow-up on additional vehicle break-ins.
