Brown’s 5 RBI’s power West Brunswick to 12-2 win over South Point

SHALLOTTE, N.C. (WWAY) – During the opening day of the Beach Diamond Invitational Tournament, hosting West Brunswick softball took down South Point 12-2 in five innings.

A lot of the Trojans’ early runs came off of infield grounders. Those came off the bats of Brooklyn Sommers, Olivia Brown and Kady Long.

Brown recorded five RBI’s despite only registering one hit.

In other Monday tournament games, North Brunswick shut out Whiteville 10-0 and South Columbus fell to South Stanly 14-4.
