Brunswick Co. School Board approves $175M bond plan
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A $175 million bond referendum aimed to improve schools is headed to the Brunswick County Commission.
A Brunswick County Schools spokeswoman said the school board decided this evening to ask commissioners to include the referendum on the November 8, 2016 ballot. There’s no list of projects that the bond money would cover if approved. The spokeswoman said that list will be finalized in the coming weeks, but some of the big issues are building infrastructure improvements, classroom technology and athletic facility improvements.
There’s no word on when the commission would discuss the bond referendum.
