Brunswick County Man arrested on drug charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man has been arrested after allegedly being found with more than 20 grams of cocaine.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, units conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.
A vehicle search led to the discovery of more than 20 grams of crack cocaine.
Derreon James, 31, of Navassa has been charged with PWISD Cocaine, Felony Possession Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying Concealed Weapon-Gun.
He is currently being held at the NHSO Detention Center with a $100,000 secured bond.
