Brunswick County man pleads guilty to child sex charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County District Attorney’s Office says a man pled guilty to ten counts of statutory rape of a child under 12 and four counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Clayton Eagle was sentenced to at least 30 years in prison.
A witness walked in on Eagle attempting to complete sexual acts with an underage minor in a storage unit facility on NC 211 near Southport.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office investigated this case with the help of the Carousel Center.
Eagle will be required to register as a sex offender and be placed on satellite-based monitoring upon his release.
