Brunswick County man sentenced to prison for domestic violence

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man sentenced to at least 19 years in prison in 2019 for choking a woman and beating her so severely she lost an eye recently received different charges.

Jemar Bell pleaded guilty to violating a Felony Domestic Violence Order and having ammunition in his possession.

He was sentenced to more than a year and a half in prison (20-33 months).

Bell also has pending charges in New Hanover County for Habitual Misdemeanor Assault and Communicating Threats.
