Brunswick County Sheriff’s office makes record Meth bust.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Agents with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit in cooperation with the Wilmington field office of the USDEA seized more than $400,000 in ICE Crystal Methamphetamine. Agents arrested Ruben Aguirre-Damian, Juan Aguirre-Mojica of Ash, NC and Miguel Angel Hernandez of Marietta, Georgia. The seizure of more than two kilograms of ICE Crystal Methamphetamine is the single largest methamphetamine seizure in Brunswick County history.
Investigators have now determined that Ruben Aguirre-Damian was the cell head in southeastern North Carolina for a much larger Cocaine and Methamphetamine drug trafficking organization based in Georgia. Agents have determined that the Methamphetamine was not manufactured in North Carolina.
The two month investigation, led investigators to a residence, located a 2196 Exum Road in Ash. From January 16th through the 18th, Agents coordinated searches at various locations including the residence located on Exum Road. Due to the searches Agents located seized approximately two kilograms of ICE Crystal Methamphetamine, two firearms, a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer and 2004 Honda Pilot.
