Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office welcomes new K9 officer

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) —  The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming a new four-legged officer to its ranks. K9 Pepper has officially joined the team and will serve alongside her handler, Deputy Forbes.

The addition comes after the unexpected passing of K9 Bayard. Sheriff’s officials say they are grateful for the opportunity to continue their mission.

K9 Pepper was generously donated by Paul Coley and Scent Evidence K9s. The sheriff’s office extended its thanks for the support, noting that the donation will enhance their ability to serve and protect the community.

Officials say K9 Pepper is already proving to be a valuable addition to the team.
