Brunswick County’s second Chick-fil-A to open this week

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A will open another location in Brunswick County this week.

The location in Shallotte will open for business on Thursday, Oct. 14, with drive-thru, carry-out and dine-in services. Third-party delivery available shortly after the opening, a release states.

The restaurant is hiring 125 full- and part-time employees.

Local Franchise Owner Chris Guthrie, who has worked at the chain since he was 15 year old, says he is looking forward to welcoming and serving the community.

“With the opening of Chick-fil-A Shallotte, I look forward to building a team centered on providing exceptional service to our guests,” said Guthrie. “I hope to create and cultivate an environment where our Team Members and the Shallotte community feel welcomed and cared for.”

In place of the traditional First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Shallotte says they have identified 100 local heroes making an impact in the greater Shallotte community and will surprise this group with free Chick-fil-A for a year.

Additionally, Chick-fil-A has partnered with Feeding America to make a $25,000 donation to a local food bank in honor of this new restaurant opening to aid in the fight against hunger.
