Brunswick Planning Board approves Folly Hills development, denies another
BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — A new development will be coming to Brunswick County after the planning board approved the project during it’s meeting on Monday.
The board approved the Folly Hills development by a 4-1 vote.
It will consist of more than 200 single-family units on more than 146 acres of land, along Highway 211, just across from Riversea Plantation.
Folly Hills will connect to the Rolling Hills development.
Board chair Clifton Cheek said he expects more developments along Highway 211 to be considered going forward.
“211 has always been a hot corridor for development, even dating back years and years ago,” Cheek said. “There’s a lot of developments that failed along 211 that are being brought back into existence today.”
The board also denied the Sailors Haven development near Sunset Beach, due to not having enough access points in and out of the development.
